Payments Terms
Effective 2026-10-14 · Last updated 2026-09-13
These Payments Terms apply when you enable payment acceptance in Fratelli and are part of the Terms of Service.
1. How Payments Work
Fratelli is a platform, not a bank or money transmitter. When you enable payments we create a Stripe connected account in your business's name. Your customers pay into that account; Stripe settles funds to the bank account you register with Stripe. By enabling payments you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement, and you authorize Fratelli to act on your behalf to create and manage the connected account and to initiate refunds you request.
2. Verification (KYC)
Stripe is legally required to verify your identity and business. You must provide accurate information and respond to verification requests. Until verification is complete, payouts may be delayed; if requirements become past due, Stripe may disable charges or payouts. Fratelli displays your verification status and outstanding requirements in Settings → Payments but never receives your identity documents, full tax ID, or full bank account number.
3. Fees
- Platform fee. Fratelli charges a per-transaction platform fee, shown in your account before you enable payments and in each transaction's detail. Fees may vary by plan and payment method and are deducted automatically from each payment.
- Stripe processing fees are set and charged by Stripe in addition to the platform fee.
- Dispute fees charged by Stripe for chargebacks are your responsibility, whether or not you win the dispute.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice before increasing platform fees.
4. Refunds, Disputes, and Negative Balances
You are responsible for refunds to your customers, for responding to disputes with evidence by Stripe's deadlines, and for any negative balance on your connected account resulting from refunds, disputes, or fees. Stripe may debit your registered bank account to cover negative balances under its agreement with you. Fratelli shows open disputes and evidence deadlines in your dashboard and may email you reminders, but the obligation to respond is yours.
5. Prohibited Uses and Risk Controls
You may not use payments for businesses or activities on Stripe's Restricted Businesses list or in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy. To protect customers, card networks, and the platform, Fratelli may pause payment acceptance for your account when: Stripe or a card network requires it; verification requirements are past due; your dispute rate reaches or approaches network thresholds; we detect payment-link abuse or fraud indicators; or your subscription is unpaid. We will notify you of the reason and what is needed to resume. Pausing does not affect funds already settled to your bank; Stripe controls any reserve or hold on funds.
6. Your Customers
You are the merchant of record. You must provide your customers with clear pricing, your business name and contact information, your refund policy, and any legally required receipts or disclosures. Your business name (or the statement descriptor you set) appears on your customers' statements.
7. Payouts
Payout timing is set by Stripe based on your country, risk profile, and the schedule you select in Stripe. Fratelli does not hold funds and cannot accelerate or delay payouts.
8. Data
Fratelli receives transaction, refund, dispute, payout, balance, and account-status data from Stripe to display in your dashboard, reconcile invoices, calculate fees, and monitor risk. See the Privacy Policy. Card numbers are handled only by Stripe; we store at most the brand and last four digits.
9. Taxes and Reporting
Stripe, as the payment processor, may issue tax forms (such as IRS Form 1099-K) for your connected account where required. You are responsible for all taxes on your sales.
10. Termination
You can disable payment acceptance at any time in Settings → Payments; pending payouts continue per Stripe's schedule. If your Fratelli account is terminated, your Stripe connected account remains subject to Stripe's agreement, and Stripe will contact you directly regarding remaining funds or obligations.
